Kevin moved to Oshawa, from Toronto, at the age of eight. He's an active member of the Writers' Circle of Durham Region and a founding member of the Ontario Writers' Conference. Kevin has called Oshawa his home for 36 years now.
Kevin Craig’s poetry has appeared in Quills Canadian Poetry Magazine, Regina Weese, Inscribed Magazine, Anything Goes Journal, Poetry Canada Magazine, Author Scoop, Paragon Journal, Message in a Bottle, Toronto Quarterly and Ditch, to name a few. Most recently he had 3 poems published in Newfoundland's Memorial University's Paragon Journal.
Kevin has thrice won the Muskoka Novel Marathon’s Best Adult Novel Award—in 2007 for Sebastian’s Poet and in 2008 for The Reasons. After taking a year off, he came back to the marathon in 2010 and won the Best Young Adult Novel Award. Kevin received Honorable Mention in the WCDR Wicked Words Prose Competition. His entry, Rabacheeko, appears in the Wiked Words Anthology. His memoir has aired on CBC Radio and has also appeared in the Globe&Mail. Kevin's play, Panic in the Basement, was produced at Driftwood Theatre’s 2009 Trafalgar24 event. This was followed with the production of his play, Maid of Honour, at the 2010 Trafalgar24 event and The Speech at the 2011 Trafalgar24 event. Kevin also had a play produced for the Uxbridge Celebration of the Arts 25-hour Masterpiece event.
