Durham Region Background

My parents moved to Ajax from Scarborough shortly after I was born, and I've lived there ever since. I attended Lord Durham, Duffins Bay, and Lakeside public schools, and Exeter High School before earning my degree at the University of Toronto.

I worked for several years at the Chapters bookstores in both Ajax and Oshawa, as well as their head office location. My short story, The Last Man Standing, placed 3rd in the Writer's Circle of Durham children's contest back in 1998, and I've gone on to place in international contests since.

I grew up in Ajax, Ontario and earned my degree at the University of Toronto. I've always loved creative writing and reading fantasy, so becoming a fantasy author seemed inevitable. I spent several years working for Chapters, both at their retail and head office locations, while I focused on developing my writing skills. Now I write full-time. Two of my fantasy short stories (The Unclean and The God's Eye) are back-to-back winners in the 2010 and 2011 Writers' Journal Fiction Contests.

  • The Unclean -- A Short Story (2010, Third Place Winner of 2010 Writers' Journal Fiction Contest)
  • The God's Eye -- A Short Story (2011, First Place Winner of 2011 Writers' Journal Fiction Contest)
  • Wayward Scribe -- A Short Story (2011)
  • Rubicon -- A Short Story Collection (2011)
  • Legacy Hunter -- A Tale of Lasniniar (2011)
  • Soul Seeker -- A Novel of Lasniniar (2011)
  • Shadow Stalker -- A Tale of Lasniniar (2011)
